RFID Tracking

One method of tracking packages is through RFID - Radio Frequency Identification - chips. With the embedded chip, a package can be located at any time; thus the customer can track his shipment in real-time.

The FFE is currently working to standardize tracking technology with RFID. This would aid both the transport companies (to provide customer service, catch and solve problems before they become real issues) and manufacturers (to better gauge delivery and analyze transport optimization opportunities).
